    Cross Sound Lighthouse Cruises

Views take your breath away on two-hour lighthouse cruises out of New London, Orient Point

Breathtaking: That’s the best way to describe the reaction of people who have taken one of Cross Sound Cruises’ three lighthouse tours. The two-hour tours, two out of New London, CT and one out of Orient Point, NY on Long Island, take passengers past a variety of picturesque lighthouses, from the “Coffee Pot,” or Orient Point Lighthouse, on the eastern tip of the island’s North Fork, to Morgan Point Light at the mouth of the Mystic River. There’s Watch Hill Light, authorized to be built by President Jefferson; Race Rock Light, said to be haunted; and the cast-iron Latimer Reef Light, among many others. Cruises, narrated by experienced guides, also go past Revolutionary-Era forts. On board a magnificent catamaran, you’ll ride in comfort, with air-conditioned lounges (snacks and full bar available) and sun-splashed decks.
