    The Griswold Inn

Brunch in this beautiful historic inn features thoroughly modern array of delights

An impressive brunch in an impressive inn: That’s the famous Hunt Breakfast, served Sundays at the remarkable Griswold Inn. This sumptuous buffet offers an array of breakfast and lunch entrees, including made-to-order Belgian waffles, fresh salads and desserts. And, there’s live music. Called the most famous brunch in Connecticut by The New York Times, the tradition for this bountiful spread began when the British commandeered the inn during the War of 1812. The charms of days gone by are evident throughout the inn, which opened in 1776, from its collection of maritime art to its wood floors and beams. (Check the inn’s website for changes and updates and the inn navigates new health and safety guidelines.)
